Kylie is BBC Studios ANZ’s first Director of Production, joining in September 2018 to launch the new production arm. She has a wealth of experience in adapting international formats for the Australian market, and developing and overseeing formatted factual entertainment.
In her role, Kylie exploits the rich potential of BBC Studios’ format catalogue, drives the creation of new intellectual property and builds creative partnerships between BBC Studios’ editorial teams in the UK and Australian broadcasters and digital platforms.
Kylie joined BBC Studios from Matchbox Pictures, where she was Director of Unscripted from 2012-2018. Here she developed, pitched and oversaw casting, production and delivery of 16 series, building a slate from scratch when NBCU bought out Matchbox in 2014. Titles included: Real Housewives of Melbourne and Sydney for Foxtel; Real Housewives of Auckland for Bravo NZ; Australian Spartan for Seven; Room 101 for SBS; original format Formal Wars for Seven; and original arts entertainment series, Everyone’s A Critic, for ABC. She also set up the Matchbox Asia business, which successfully delivered content across all of NBCU’s Channels within Asia.
From 2006-2012, Kylie was a series producer and development producer for Active TV, working across 14 titles in a range of genres. She adapted Prank Patrol for ABC3, which also went out on CBBC in the UK and was nominated for Most Outstanding Children’s TV Show at the 2011 Logies. Other titles include: The Amazing Race Australia for Seven, Amazing Race Asia for Sony’s AXN, To Be Or Not To Be for Foxtel’s Movie Extra, and adapting Cash Cab into Asia.
Prior to this, Kylie worked as a freelance producer and director on independent documentaries, as well as some of Australia’s biggest formatted shows, including seven series of Big Brother for Channel Ten and I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here for ITV1.

Sebastian Angborn started his career as a screenwriter and actor, having appeared in titles such as The Elephant Princess, Sea Patrol, and 500 Miles. A film graduate of Bond University, Sebastian also studied at the Atlantic Theatre Company in New York City, and undertook an intensive screenwriting mentorship with the Associate Chair of Film at Savanah College of Art and Design, Mr Shawn Kasinger, focusing on Gnostic Philosophy in Western Cinema.
Previously he has also been employed as the Senior Academic Manager at the New York Film Academy Australia, and has taught screen structure and acting at the National Theatre Academy of Romania, at the Television Workshop in Nottingham and at the Sydney Theatre School.
Mentor
Khoa has worked in the Australian film and television industry since 2000, when he wrote the multi-award winning half-hour drama DELIVERY DAY for SBS, and for which Khoa received his first AFI Award nomination. His feature directing debut was THE FINISHED PEOPLE in 2003, for which Khoa received multiple AFI Award nominations.In 2013, Khoa wrote and directed the mini-series BETTER MAN for SBS, a four-part mini-series which earned him Best Director in a Mini Series at the Australian Director’s Guild Awards. The series won a slew of awards including a Silver Logie. In 2014, Khoa directed SCHAPELLE for Nine Network.
For the past six years Khoa has been a board director with a seat on the board of the Australia Council for the Arts, the Australian government’s arts funding and advisory body.

Gail manages Adelaide Film Festival’s programming department, responsible for film submissions, selection and Awards alongside industry development, audience expansion and AFF Youth. A prominent figure in the SA Screen Industry, Gail led the Media Resource Centre and Mercury Cinema for 12 years as CEO, transforming its professional program including introducing the Screen Makers Conference and establishing the cinema as a vital part of the city’s cultural life via launching programs such as Seniors on Screen. Gail graduated university with an on-going love of American Literature and European History.
