GILLIAN MOODY

Gillian has worked in both management and production roles during her extensive years in the screen industry. She is well regarded for her advocacy for Indigenous stories and mentoring of emerging filmmakers. Gill has worked with ADTRS, MetroScreen, SBS before moving to an Investment and Development Manager role in Screen Australia’s Indigenous Department for several years. In 2016 Gill Series Produced the first series of Family Rules, a 6 x 30 min Documentary TV Series for NITV, and in 2019 Nice Shorts an online sketch comedy series with Bunya Productions. Her collaboration with Bunya Productions follows on from a producing internship undertaken with them in 2017/18.
Gillian started her own company Kalori Productions in 2018 which saw co-production on the documentary Black Divaz. Gill also develops and produces drama projects through Kalori, short film Ties That Bind had its world premiere at the 2019 Sydney Film Festival where it won the Event Cinema Award for Best Australian Short Screenplay. Gill is currently co-directing and co-producing a feature documentary KINDRED with key collaborator Adrian Russell Wills. They are also currently financing a feature Drama film developing Feature narrative, TV series Bio
