Michelle Law is a writer and actor working across film, TV, theatre and print. As a screenwriter, she won an Australian Writers’ Guild AWGIE award for her interactive media work and her short films have screened on television as well as at festivals locally and abroad (St Kilda Film Festival, Flickerfest, LA Shorts Fest, BAPFF). Her debut stage play Single Asian Female premiered at La Boite Theatre Company in 2017 to sold out audiences and recently enjoyed a bumper second run at Belvoir St Theatre.
Michelle graduated with a Bachelor of Creative Industries (Creative Writing) from Queensland University of Technology and studied comedy improv at The Second City in Chicago and the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre in New York. Her written work for film and television includes Homecoming Queens, Get Krack!n, Suicide and Me, and Bloomers. She is currently working on several projects including a feature.Back to Speakers
