Director - Lessons From A Middle Class Artist

Anthony Frith is a writer/director with a unique vision and a passion for the bizarre. His comedy short THE WORST ALIEN IN THE WORLD, funded through the Raw Nerve initiative and produced by Rebecca Elliott, was nominated for seven South Australian Screen Awards in 2016 and premiered at Revelations Film Festival in Perth. He has also been recognised for his producing work on the drama short SERVO, starring Snowtown‘s Lucas Pittaway, receiving Best Emerging Producer at the 2015 South Australian Screen Awards. Anthony’s web series pilot THE CONFIDENCE MEN, funded through youth arts organisation Carclew, premiered at the 2017 Adelaide Film Festival. LESSONS FROM A MIDDLE CLASS ARTIST is his first documentary and his first time working with a broadcaster.

 

In 2018, Anthony participated in a twelve day practical film workshop run by Black Factory Cinema where travelled to the Peruvian jungle to make a film under the mentorship of acclaimed filmmaker Werner Herzog.
