Ana Tiwary is an experienced producer/director and runs the production company indiVisual films that specialises in multicultural stories. She holds a Masters in Film from the US, and has lived/worked in many different part sof the world including Germany, India, West Africa, Canada and she immigrated to Australia over thirteen years ago. From mainstream Bollywood cinema, TV shows and commercials, to National Geographic Channel, Ana has experience working across factual as well as scripted. She has produced over 25 documentaries for programs such as ABC Compass. She has made several short films and this year she has produced the first Asian Australian rom-com ‘Rhapsodyof Love’. Presently she is developing a TV comedy series, ‘What Would Suki Do?’ which is funded by Screenwest.
Ana created the Diversity in Australian Media Facebook community over ten years ago and is an advocate for diversity, equity and inclusion. She served on the WIFT NSW committee for six years, creating and running the Media Mentorship for Women program which was funded by Screen NSW. In 2009, Ana was the finalist for the NSW Woman of the Year Award. She is a WIFT AustraliaBoard member and mentors emerging filmmakers.
In 2015, Ana was selected by Screen Producers Australia as one of the ‘Ones to Watch’ producers. She has received training in story development by the Screen Australia Developing the Developer program. Last year, Ana was selected for the Screen Australia Talent Plus program, which involved a three month attachment at See-Saw Films and mentorship with Oscar winning producer Emile Sherman (Kings Speech, Lion).Currently, Ana is creating a development hub at her company indiVisual films to generate a diverse slate of film and TV projectsBack to Who's Coming
